Dear Colfax Families, Despite our best efforts, it looks like the snow continues to fall, and road conditions are worsening. So, today, March 8th, will be a Snow Day. There will be no school today. All parent conferences will be rescheduled for a different time in the upcoming weeks. Thank you for your patience!

Marble mazes, straw rockets, marshmallow catapults, tongue depressor boats! Tonight's STEM Night was a huge success with tremendous hands on experiences for both children and adults. Thank you Mrs. Sunding for hosting a wonderful evening for Colfax families to explore science, technology, engineering, and math.

Good Morning Colfax Families, In coordination with PUHSD, Colfax Elementary will be providing two bags of non-perishable Emergency Food for all students in Preschool through 8th grade today. Dear CES Families, Tomorrow, March 3rd, will be a late start. School will start at 10:00 a.m. This will allow our campus to thaw out and will allow our families to safely travel to school in the morning. Buses will run on a 2 hour delayed schedule in the morning, but they will run at normal times at the end of the day. Students can arrive at campus starting at 9:30 a.m. Students will go directly to the gym. At 10:00 a.m. we will have our monthly Bulldog Blast. All families are welcome to attend! Dear Colfax Families, School will be open tomorrow, March 2nd, at the regular start time of 8:00 a.m. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. Please plan ample time to get to school in the morning because roads are expected to be slippery. Also, please do not allow your student to walk or ride their bike to school tomorrow because snow is still piled in the walking and bike paths. Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Cenozoic - Oh my! Mrs. Wilson's class learned about geological eras by using Play-Doh to represent levels of Earth strata and plastic toys to replicate fossil records. This is hands-on learning at its best!
